Knowledge is Power. Question Everything.

As an artist in my heart and soul, and a mechanical engineer by degree, I am curious, expressive, and grounded in the physical world. Being hyperactive is an asset in combination with being resourceful and inventive. I have designed and built things that do not work, and I’ve designed and built things that met my expectations. My creativity unabashedly operates within the permission granted by Linus Pauling: “The best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas.”

As an engineer, I learned about Critical Thinking and Structured Problem Solving. This blog is a result of putting these techniques to work in my life, and in my curious mind.

I will not say I am an artist, since REAL artists might get mad, as they have an art degree and I don’t, so I say I MAKE ART in the genre of Upcycling. I take my Upcycled art to shows where people look at it and buy it.  🙂 http://leftoverspg.weebly.com/

I do not think up most of the topics I write about here, but I will note it when what you are reading is completely my idea. I love learning. I read a LOT.  Some of my favorite resources are:

***Environment Working Group http://www.ewg.org/

***Rodale Wellness  http://www.rodalewellness.com/

***Wikipedia

Not everything I write about will interest everyone, but I truly hope something on my webpage engages your brain, stimulates your curiosity, or makes your life better, more interesting, more enjoyable, more productive.

Thank you for visiting Leftovers, Bits, and Pieces!  All the best to you frDSCN5578om me, Pea S Garr.
